STING CANCELS EUROPEAN TOUR DATES DUE TO UNSPECIFIED ILLNESS

Sting cancels European tour dates due to unspecified illness

Sting is canceling a string of European court dates following an unspecified illness, the British singer announced Wednesday.

In a statement on the 67-year-old’s official Twitter, Sting shared that Thursday’s concert in Stuttgart, Germany, and Friday’s date in the Czech Republic would be canceled, following announcements earlier this week that he would be pulling out of shows in Belgium and elsewhere in Germany.

“Sting sincerely regrets disappointing or causing any inconvenience to the fans,” the statement reads, adding that the singer is “under the weather” and canceled the shows “under doctor’s orders.” The post does not give any details on the nature of the illness.
