William Penn men’s and women’s soccer played last night

Both of William Penn’s soccer teams played at St. Ambrose Wednesday in Davenport.  The men scored a 1-0 victory courtesy of an Amgad Hassan goal in the 27th minute. The Statesmen men are now 4-1 on the year; all of their games have been decided by one goal.

William Penn’s women weren’t so fortunate, losing 2-1 to St. Ambrose in overtime.  That’s the first loss of the year for the Statesmen women. Ashley Broeker’s 37th minute goal got the Statesmen on the board.  William Penn’s women are now 3-1-1 for the season.

On Saturday, the Statesmen men and women will both be home; the men play Iowa Wesleyan at 3, while the women host Simpson at 5:30.
